Visiting a British Craft Trade Fair in Harrogate a few weeks back here are a few of the Textiles and Surface Designers I was really inspired by.
Oh Golly Gosh- Elaine Hughes
Full of her unexpected delights and her quirky one-off collages I love Elaine Hughes creations how she captures and brings together stitch work, drawings and unusual surfaces and textures making a unique vintage style.
J.C. Middlebrook
The delicate and detail approach to J.C. Middlebrook designs have really caught my eye. The lace effect being created within these designs are lovely to
Jennifer Collier
I am really inspired by the work of Jenifer Collier. The use of creating her work from paper producing unusual effects and styles show a range of different displays of paper and fabric combining together to me creates a vintage feel to each of her products.
Flossy Teacake
I love the approach to mix media. These designs show a range of different techniques and styles brought together producing a lovely effect. Combining Mono Print, drawings, different fabrics and stitch work I love the style.
Sarah Louise Clare
Her collection of soft gothic digital print black and gold design. I love the surface pattern that has been created on these designs, the detailing and mark making to me stands out in a vibrant style. I also love the use of her colour pallet using gentle pastle colours giving them a soft tone.
